Dakota Stage LTD (DSL) is seeking a full time position as an Executive Director. The Executive Director (ED) has direct responsibility over all administrative decisions of DSL. The ED is responsible for the management of the staff, facility, and all events. The ED has full budgetary compliance and delegation responsibility as approved by the Board of Directors. The ED is responsible for ensuring successful overall operational functionality, fiscal health, and the public profile of the organization. Desired qualifications include a Master’s degree in Theater, Theater Management, Business Management, or similar degree; a minimum of two years of management in a non-profit or arts organization including budgeting and grant writing; technical skills in lighting design, sound design, or directing. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a business or arts field; experience in management of a non-profit or arts organization; arts/theater/live-production skills. Dakota Stage LTD (DSL) is seeking a part-time position as an Artistic Director. The Artistic Director (AD) has direct responsibility over artistic decisions made by directors on a per show basis as part of the annual Dakota Stage season including the operational control over the summer Shade Tree Program. The AD has budget compliance responsibilities over all productions approved by the Executive Director and the Board of Directors. The AD is responsible for ensuring the artistic quality of all productions by supervising the technical and creative elements of each show. Desired qualifications include a Master’s degree in Theater, or other arts related field; significant directing experience at the college or community theater level; significant technical background in lighting design, sound design, and/or scenic/set design; and broad knowledge of community theater productions. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a theater-related field or significant experience producing community theater; technical background in lighting design, sound design, and/or scenic/set design; and knowledge of community theater productions.
